This Bosslady is for Real!

๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’•

Car Sales Lady!
I took a short hiatus to take care of personal & professional business for myself, now I'm back!

Today was a fabulous day. I got to spend time with Dom at her Downtown LA office.

I must say she is the prettiest hard working boss I've ever had...

I was there for only a brief moment because she was busy on the phone, fighting for justice, doing her lawyering thing...
just as expected.

However, I did not leave without a little footage to document the day.

I look forward to days when we will chat about the little things;

however, till then, I LOVE what she is doing now, pushing and paving her way to the top in her industry; as she smiles, and swag with that bright twinkle in her eyes for justice.

Dom is getting things done.
Her smile keeps me in tune with her and the vision she shares with California.

California City of DBLO!

๐Ÿ˜California truly knows how to party!

A memory of the song from Tupac

Looking back, I can say, I've always had an eye on the path.

I knew how to party, not the problem...

I recognized the vision clearly in my mind, and was uncomfortable whenever I veered away from it...

The commitment to God outweighed any reasonable commitment to myself including thoughts, whether right or wrong, that was not considered part of his/her original plan, for me, and my daughter, challenged my humbled Southern upbringings with external conflicts.

Struggling with temptation. Not her, ME!
No matter what was whispered in my ears. I was not buying.
My perspective and mantra, as a young single mom:

I'm going to get through this...ONLY a test!!!

Popularity amongst friends, lovers & other parents versus responsibility.
Hum.... It never felt right to step outside of the box as a parent, through out my experiences, so I did not.

"One of the better decisions realized"

I recognized early in life that the decisions made was not mine alone. It's like being a witness to ones actions, when stepping out of your own way.

It's called business when working a plan, however when it's your life at stake, and the lives of others, especially small children, when intuned with self, we know that there is a higher voice and CEO that is the Master.

So to say, it is still not my decision entirely, however the ruler of my life (My higher self) calls all the shots, as I live in the City of LA.

Thinking back on Tupac's life, some of my family members like my Aunt Julia (I was often compared to as a child), my Aunt Mary, and cousins, lived in Compton. I resided with both aunts respectively during that time. I also connected with The Paul Robeson Players, while living in Compton, and did many plays and appearances with the multi-talented Repertory Group, I even appeared on stage at Marla Gibbs, Crossroads Theatre, before moving to Hollywood.

I did not know at that time that DBLO was in the making. The greatness, of who she is and how she got to become, where she is today, is all part of this magnificent story, and spirit that resided within me before her birth.

The creation, found in the name of Dominique E. Banos, her foundation, is in The new City of DBLO Attorney at Law!

In the song by Tupac it says, California, it keeps me rockin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Dom is hear now. She's serving the City of LA, The City of Compton, The San Fernando Valley and just about any part of California,  she and associates will travel to, on your behalf.

Tell A Friend.

"The images from the video above was made with my camera phone. It represents the hustle, the brand and zeal, only six months in LA, six months thriving, six months on Fire for Justice and fair treatment of all human beings, regardless of gender, race, religious-beliefs, nationality, or sexual preferences."

We arranged our business photo shoot with the fabulous LA Photography of
Mr. Yury Nikolaev.
I personally recommend Yury if you want to  add a certain professional quality to your brand.
He is reliable, focused, artistic and authentic.

Yury will be with us in December. Hopefully you will be there too, for our SECOND ANNUAL, Holiday Toy Drive Benefiting the Boys andGirls Club of Watts-Willowbrook,

Dom's Passion Project.

International Women's Day, March 8, 2017 Tribute

Happy International Women's Day!

My basic foundation began with the LOVE from my mother!

First of all, I am very grateful to have been raised by a wonderful woman who was always there for me and my siblings. She nurtured and feed us morally, physically and spiritually, giving us the right content needed to thrive in life.

Secondly, I must acknowledge my daughter, Dominique Banos, who has been more than a tower of strength from birth; plus having to grow up in a one parent household, having to move, here and there, managed to keep her composure, through heartfelt loss and survival, made it through the narrow door, is currently a successful entrepreneur, AKA, "Rebel Rouser", leading the way, fighting for justice and civil liberties for all people.

I'm privileged to have a  few great and wonderful women in my life including:

  • Vanessa Dale Monroe
  • Judith Lewis
  • Frieda Golden
  • Anita Kohavi
  • Patti Vargas
  • Claudia Veals
  • Elisa Jackson
  • Margie Green
  • Colleen Collins
  • Kisha Collins
  • Yvonne Wheeler
  • Yetta Young
  • Kamisia Jones
  • Tara Collins
  • Daphne Renee Grayson
  • Charmaine Mills
  • Felicia Davis
  • Monica Taylor
  • Eumikia Collins-Griffin
  • There are more ...

In closing:

"There is no royal flower-strewn path to success. And if there is, I have not found it, for if I have accomplished anything in life it is because I have been willing to work hard."

-Madam C.J. Walker, America's fist female entrepreneur millionaire

...and so it is.

DBLO Joy!

I never once imagined to be a mother; and now a mother of a successful and beautiful realized women attorney conveys my inner truth and worth.

We are indeed ALL connected.

Life is a spiritual journey. I've always considered myself more of a divine gaurdian of Dom, which made more sense to me, than the conditional prioritary responses of the ages. I felt the same way for my eldest of whom I adore just the same, who had more advantages in life.
He is a professional as well. I am proud of his accomplishments, however, this blog is about Dom from a single mom outside of the norm.

My daughter's Law Firm, DBLO in LA prospers is my exciting news today.

Thank you to all who are responsible.

This is a team journey that we have embraced together. We are indeed winners.

When you visit DBLO, have a cup of java on me...it is Starbucks Coffee, our favorite.

A smile on the house; freedom from anxiety.

Dominique will fight for you!

We The People

We are The People who make up the United States of America. We have the freedom to speak, and express equality for ALL Americans, not just a small group of citizens.
.
DBLO
was on hand this afternoon to represent the foundation insured by our forefathers over 250 years ago. This day, January 21, 2017, marked a new chapter in history.

From Washington, DC to the Alaskan shores, in minus13 degree weather, the voices of our sisters, mothers and friends echoed across the skies. Let Freedom Ring, as they sang the songs of our negro ancestors.

We can't stop...

We won't stop...I prayed at home and kept a light surrounding all the demonstrators as I worked at the dealership...

The picture above means more to me than you will ever know because I practice mediation and follow the principals necessary for better living. I believe we all have the same abilities...

A peaceful demonstration.

Meditation Still here... through my experience  represents the strength of the lotus, protecting the environment, that was, and is dedicated to the importance of the message ... Meditation rocks and so does a healthy balanced life.

About Life:
Sister Judith Lewis representing DBLO, Dominique Banos Law Offices, Beaumont Texas, is the First Lady of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. She and her husband, Rev. Gregory W. Lewis, sponsors an on going exercise class, at their church, twice a week, called, "Fit For The Kingdom"... I challenge other spiritual leaders to take action against obesity in their congregation. Let us all get FIT together, and strive for a greater existence in the skin of America to combat the hate that is brewing, within and without.
Human Life and Human Rights matters.

We LOVE USA!

My DBLO Recap!

Hope you're having a great New Year so far!

Thanks for being here, and also, a brief reminder to call Dom...

Dom's Law Firm has gotten off on a tremendously great start for the new year!
I'm telling everyone that I meet about Dominique because, no one should go at it alone! Trying a case is no joke, learning to speak the law lingo, knowing the right and proper etiquette is the reason their are Law schools. I'm just saying...if you find yourself in a jam, for any Civil, Family or Criminal matter; if you care about yourself and your family, then call Dom. It wont cost you anything to seek advice, however, it may cost you a lot more, if you don't. Take my advice...It's a New Year, so why not do it differently this time around...don't be shy, give her a call, and tell her that her mom made the suggestion.

Dom's mom with Ms. Patti.
We were enjoying ourselves at the Fundraiser that took place on my birthday, Dec. 17, 2016.
We both are very proud of our daughters who are captivating the planet!
Patti's daughter is an amazing artist, and my daughter, well...she's making a name for herself in the judicial system, helping, serving and defending the rights of others. Patti's daughter is doing the same thing, however through a different venue. No wonder we became close friends in such a short period of time.

This picture is a clip that I had posted shortly after our event for Facebook! We were so proud of our success with the Office Warming and Toy Drive Fundraiser. The toys collected were fabulous! Dom took them directly to the club, which brought extreme joy to the faces and homes of the kids. We will do it again and even bigger next time around. I'm requesting, all of my friends and associates to please mark their calendars now for DBLO's 1st Year Anniversary Celebration, and her 2nd Annual Christmas Toy Drive for The Boy's and Girls Club of Watts-Willowbrook of 2017!

My niece made the journey, all the way from Houston, Texas with her mommy and granny, to be a part of the celebration.
We were extremely proud and blessed to have them with us. Her granny gave a very beautiful & heartfelt blessing, helping us kick off the office festivities that evening.

Believe me when I say, Dominique worked hard to have her dream realized.
However, far more than her dreaming into space, took dedication, commitment, focus, positive action, determination, and sacrifice. Yes, sacrifice, which could have been the hardest part of the journey. Through my experience, one must be willing to give up something smaller, to make room for something greater. By the way, you can find the above article hanging in a frame on Dom's wall, inside her DTLA office. ...Will somebody please call Mr. Underwood?

We're very proud of this young and beautiful ( inside and out), talented, positive, forever caring and smiling, Attorney at Law, Let her be YOUR VOICE...Ms. Dominique Elvira Banos, Esq. Let her fight for you.

Team Dom!

This is an amazing assortment of toys that were collected on behalf of the Watts-Willowbrook Boys and Girls Club, Christmas 2016, www.wwbgclub.org. Thank you to those who came out to support my daughter's vision. Because of you, the Fundraiser was a huge SUCCESS...Giving is LOVE, thank you all for showing your hearts that evening...

That's all I have to say for now...

One more thing; visit her website at  www.dominiquebanoslawoffices.com

Have a Safe, Happy and Spectacular 2017 my friends!
